Meeting of university authorities with Professor Jerzy Buzek

On Friday, 11 January, at the Arena Gliwice Hall, there was a meeting of the authorities of the Silesian University of Technology with MEP Professor Jerzy Buzek - former Prime Minister and President of the European Parliament, a graduate of the Silesian University of Technology.
On behalf of the university, the meeting was attended by: Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Professor Arkadiusz Mężyk; Vice Rector for Collaboration with Civic and Economic Environment, Professor Janusz Kotowicz; Vice Rector for Science and Development, Professor Marek Pawełczyk; Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Education, Professor Tomasz Trawiński; as well as the Vice Rector for General Affairs, Professor Bogusław Łazarz.
The main subject of the discussion was development of the Silesian University of Technology in the context of the European research area, searching for financing sources and collaboration in the scope of obtaining large projects, including collaboration in the scope of computing infrastructure. The participants had also discussed possibilities for Professor Jerzy Buzek’s participation in various conferences and events organized or co-organized by the Silesian University of Technology and other economic and territorial self-governments.
