UK Luminescence and Electron Spin Resonance Dating Meeting 2024, Oxford, England
This year’s edition of UKLum took place on 11-13 September 2024 at the School of Geography and the Environment, University of Oxford (Oxford, England). Our team of five: prof. Grzegorz Adamiec, prof. Grzegorz Poręba, dr. Konrad Tudyka, Maciej Gosek (Master’s student, γFORCE scientific club) and Joanna Rocznik (PhD student, γFORCE scientific club) presented their research to an international audience and colleagues from the luminescence dating community:
- Adamiec et al., Characterising crosstalk in EMCCD measurements of thermoluminescence from single grains (oral presentation);
- Poręba et al., Luminescence Dating of Holocene Soil Erosion on the Lublin Upland (Eastern Poland): A New Perspective on Dose Rate Determination (poster);
- Tudyka et al., μDOSE+: Environmental radioactivity and dose rate measurement system with active shielding boosted by machine learning (poster);
- Gosek et al., Dose Rate Precision with 200 mg Samples Using the μDOSE+ System (poster);
- Rocznik et al., Pottery moisture content investigation for improved OSL dating precision (poster).
Additionally, we are happy to share that Joanna Rocznik was awarded the Risø DTU student prize for best poster presentation at the UKLum2024.
