γFORCE scientific club at DLED2023
On 9-11 November 2023, the annual German Luminescence and ESR Dating Meeting took place in Innsbruck, Austria. Our team of ten consisted of Bachelor and PhD students from γFORCE scientific club and their supervisors: Grzegorz Poręba and Konrad Tudyka.
Research results were presented in the form of both poster and oral presentations:
- Błachut et al., Environmental Dose Rate Insights from 238U Disequilibrium and New Beta Attenuation Model, Calculated Across Select Profiles (poster)
- Bolik et al., Updating the μRate with function for modeling disequilibrium in 238U decay application
- Cyndecki et al., Uncertainty Analysis in Low-Activity Gamma-Ray Spectrometry Measurements for Dose Rate Determination (poster)
- Gosek et al., μDOSE+ system optimization for small samples
- Kamińska et al., Development of chronology for historical mining shaft remains in the vicinity of Tarnowskie Góry based on luminescence and radiocarbon dating
- Rocznik et al., Environmental and laboratory factors affecting the accuracy of luminescence dating of archaeological objects impact of moisture on dose rate determination and OSL age of ceramic samples (poster)
- Szymak et al., Increasing the reliability of luminescence dating through the internal dose rate determination (poster)
- Tudyka et al., μDOSE+: Environmental radioactivity and dose rate measurement system with active shielding boosted by machine learning (poster)
- Wojtalak et al., OSL/14C chronology of lower Prosna River meandering system in the Rokutów site, Central Poland (poster)
- Zdziebło et al., µRate update - new attenuation of beta radiation in granular matrices from Cunningham et al. (2022) (poster)
We are also happy to announce that, by the Community’s unanimous decision, DLED2024 will take place in Poland for the first time! See you for science and pierogi next year!
