BIOGRAPHY NOTE:

Roman Czyba was born on October 27, 1973 in Zabrze. In 1993, he graduated from the Electrical and Electronic Technical School in Zabrze with the specialization of electronic devices. In 1998, he graduated at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice and achieved M.Sc. degree at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science. In the next year, he started PhD study at the same faculty, during which took part in the International Program Socrates-Erasmus at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands), and at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at the Delft University. In 2004, he obtained with distinction the Ph.D. degree in automatic control, a specialization in robotics. From 2004 till now he is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Automatic Control. His research interest includes: control theory and its application into complex dynamical systems, robust controllers, multivariable control systems, mathematical modelling of dynamical systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous control of unmanned aerial systems, design and prototyping of embedded control systems. He is a head of laboratory of Prototype Control Systems at the Institute of Automatic Control at the Silesian University of Technology. He is also a member of AIAA American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
