8th edition of the "Spread your wings" mentoring program

Five students from our Faculty are taking part in the 8th edition of the mentoring program "Spread your wings". The main goal of this program is to develop the intellectual potential of the best graduates of secondary schools who have started studies at the Silesian University of Technology and to support their personal development. Students have a designated mentor - an employee of our Faculty, who will help in achieving goals and support intellectual development. They are:

Dawid Piotrowski - Computer Science (practical profile), Winner of the "For the Golden Index" competition

Stanisław Szady - Computer Science (practical profile), Winner of the "For the Golden Index" competition

8th Chess Tournament for the Championship of the Department of Applied Mathematics

We warmly invite all chess enthusiasts to take part in the 8th Chess Tournament for the Championship of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics. The event combines sporting competition with academic integration and promotes chess in a friendly, open atmosphere. Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Competition for the best Master’s thesis on the application of computational methods to the simulation of heat and flow processes

The Department of Thermal Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology, together with its industry partners, is announcing a nationwide competition for the best Master’s thesis on the application of computational methods to the simulation of thermal and flow processes. The aim of the competition is to promote students’ achievements in the application of computational techniques in the broadly defined field of thermal engineering. Thanks to the presence of representatives from industry and software companies on the competition jury, information about the best theses and their authors will reach potential employers.
