A student from our Faculty has won the Student Nobel Prize
During the award ceremony, the Student Nobels were presented for the seventeenth time – awards given to the most talented students from across Poland who have distinguished themselves through outstanding academic, social or artistic achievements. Among this year’s winners was Antoni Jaszcz, a student at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at the Silesian University of Technology, who won the award in the technical sciences category.
Antoni Jaszcz is a second-cycle student of Computer Science at our Faculty. His publication record comprises 13 articles in scientific journals and 14 conference papers. He conducts highly advanced technical research in the fields of artificial intelligence and sonar image processing.
The Student Nobel Prize is an initiative of the Independent Students’ Association, which for years has been promoting young people actively shaping the future of science, technology and society. Receiving this award is a testament to the laureate’s individual commitment and hard work, as well as the opportunities for developing skills at our Faculty. We are proud of this great success on a national stage.
