The Faculty of Applied Mathematics was established in 1969 as the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The Faculty has two departments: the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Applications of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence Methods, whose employees conduct research and education in two fields of study: Mathematics and Computer Science.
