Program Educational Objectives
The main Program Educational Objectives of the CEIE program are:
- Career development: Graduates will be fully prepared to enter the competitive job market in a wide range of industries and IT services as employees or entrepreneurs or be engaged in advanced study. (PEO_1); this comprises the following partial aims:
- acquiring advanced knowledge and practical skills in CEIE-related fields (PEO_1_1),
- acquiring practical communication skills preparing students to participate in professional discussions and present their work in a clear and concise way (PEO_1_2),
- acquiring knowledge and practical skills needed to perform leadership roles in planning, coordinating and supervising projects, both small- and large-scale (PEO_1_3)
- getting familiar with how scientific research is conducted and documented, thus getting prepared to work in research institutions or undertake PhD studies (PEO1_4).
- Professional service with integrity: Graduates will actively participate in professional and community groups while upholding the highest ethical standards (PEO_2).
- Addressing important problems: Graduates will use their knowledge and skills gained in the CEIE program to recognize and make a significant, positive impact on current and future societal challenges (PEO_3).
Achievement of PEO1-1-PEO1_3 is supported by science-related and technical courses content. PEO1_4 and PEO_3 are to be achieved through student’s work on the Master Thesis. Group projects, realized in the program as well as Humanities/Economic/Social courses are aimed at PEO_2 and PAO_3.
After completing their first degree, graduates can enter the job market as highly qualified professionals or continue their education aiming at PhD degree.
