Competition for the best master's thesis

The Department of Thermal Technology of the Silesian University of Technology, together with industrial partners, announces a nationwide competition for the best master's thesis on the use of computational methods to simulate thermal-flow processes. The aim of the competition is to promote students' achievements in the application of computational techniques in broadly understood thermal technology. Thanks to the presence of representatives of industry and software companies in the competition jury, information about the best works and their authors will reach potential employers.

For this year's edition of the competition, you can submit master's theses and outstanding engineering theses defended between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023, written in Polish or English.

The work can be sent until May 5, 2024. The results of the competition will be known in June 2024.

The selection of the best diplomas will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, four or five finalists will be selected from among the works submitted to the competition. The second stage will consist in presenting the final works to a jury selected by the institutions organizing the competition.

The final works will be awarded with cash prizes provided by Hitachi Energy, SymKom, MESco and SBB Energy. The total prize pool is approximately PLN 20,000.
