Konferencje w ramach POB3
Zapraszamy do udziału w konferencjach online odbywających się w ramach Priorytetowego Obszaru Badawczego 3: materiały przyszłości.
Spotkania odbywające się w ramach POB3 są skierowane do wszystkich zainteresowanych, a w szczególności do młodych naukowców.
W najbliższym czasie planowanych jest 5 konferencji:
- 9 lutego, godz. 14:00: e-konferencja „POB3 Poznaj Projekt” poświęcona aspektom aplikowania o fundusze europejskie (H2020, Horyzont Europa), sposobom ich wyszukiwania oraz realizowania;
- 16 lutego, godz. 14:00: e-konferencja „POB3 Poznaj Firmę”. Gościem spotkania będzie dr Roland Kalb, właściciel firmy Prionic GmbH specjalizującej się w projektowaniu i sprzedaży cieczy jonowych;
- 18 lutego, godz. 12:00: e-konferencja „POB3 Poznaj Oficera Projektu”. Gościem spotkania będzie Colombe Warin – oficer szeregu projektów europejskich w Komisji Europejskiej – która przedstawi rolę oficera i najczęstsze błędy w realizacji projektów EU;
- 16 marca, godz. 10:00: e-konferencja „POB3 Poznaj Firmę”. Gościem spotkania będzie Junji Adachi, współzałożyciel firmy Kyulux Inc. z Japonii specjalizującej się projektowaniu nowych emiterów OLED, w tym emiterów hiperfluorescencyjnych. Na spotkaniu przedstawi swoją rolę w tworzeniu nowej firmy oferującej innowacyjne rozwiązania;
- 2 marca, godz. 16:00: e-konferencja „„POB3 Poznaj Edytora”. Gościem spotkania będzie prof. Seth Marder pełniący rolę głównego edytora oraz założyciela Materials Horizons. Profesor Marder opowie o tym, jak wyglądał proces tworzenia nowego czasopisma i jakie są najważniejsze aspekty publikowania.

The 69th School of Illustrative Mathematics “Completely Different, Yet Exactly the Same” Has Come to an End
The 69th School of Illustrative Mathematics was held from 20 to 24 August 2026. The event brought together mathematics enthusiasts for a conference focused on promoting mathematical culture, exchanging ideas and popularising mathematics. For the second consecutive year, the host of the event was the Silesian University of Technology. A total of 101 participants took part in this year’s edition.
Some of the events were held at the Silesian University of Technology Library, while the main programme took place at the Educational and Conference Centre.
Prof. Olga Macedońska-Nosalska, has passed away
We regret to announce that Prof. Olga Macedońska-Nosalska, Honorary Professor at the Silesian University of Technology, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026. The funeral will take place on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at the cemetery on Francuska Street in Katowice.
A student from our Faculty has won the Student Nobel Prize
We are extremely proud to announce that a student from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at the Silesian University of Technology has been named a winner of the Student Nobel Prize – one of the most prestigious national awards for students. This exceptional achievement is a testament to the high standard of education and our students’ commitment to academic and social development.
