Światowy Dzień Inżyniera – konferencja online
Politechnika Śląska oraz Naczelna Organizacja Techniczna zapraszają na wydarzenie z okazji Światowego Dnia Inżyniera. Konferencja online odbędzie się 4 marca 2021 roku w godzinach od 12:00 do 14:00.
W programie przedsięwzięcia przewidziano następujące wystąpienia i referaty:
- Wyzwania kształcenia inżynierów dla gospodarki przyszłości – JM Rektor Politechniki Śląskiej prof. dr hab. inż. Arkadiusz Mężyk, Przewodniczący Konferencji Rektorów Akademickich Szkół polskich;
- Rola Federacji Stowarzyszeń Naukowo-Technicznych w integracji środowiska inżynierskiego – Ewa Mańkiewicz-Cudny, Prezes Federacji Stowarzyszeń Naukowo-Technicznych Naczelnej Organizacji Technicznej;
- Kształcenie inżynierskie w czasie pandemii – JM Rektor Politechniki Poznańskiej prof. dr hab. inż. Teofil Jesionowski, Przewodniczący Konferencji Rektorów Polskich Uczelni Technicznych;
- Kształcenie inżynierskie w uczelniach europejskich – dobre praktyki – dr hab. inż. Seweryn Spałek, prof. PŚ, Członek Rady Dyrektorów Europejskiego Stowarzyszenia Edukacji Inżynierskiej SEFI;
- BEST – kreujemy inżynierów jutra – Wojciech Ponikowski, Prezes Zarządu Board of European Students of Technology BEST Gliwice;
- Działalność Akademii Inżynierskiej w Polsce – prof. dr hab. inż. Jerzy Barglik, Prezes Akademii Inżynierskiej w Polsce;
- Projekty PBL na przykładzie tematu: Czy Johann Sebastian Bach skorzysta na Industry 4.0? – dr inż. Paweł Kowol;
- Projekty Studenckich Kół Naukowych na przykładzie tematu: W kierunku pojazdów przyszłości – dr hab. inż. Mirosław Szczepanik, prof. PŚ; Karol Krzempek.

The 69th School of Illustrative Mathematics “Completely Different, Yet Exactly the Same” Has Come to an End
The 69th School of Illustrative Mathematics was held from 20 to 24 August 2026. The event brought together mathematics enthusiasts for a conference focused on promoting mathematical culture, exchanging ideas and popularising mathematics. For the second consecutive year, the host of the event was the Silesian University of Technology. A total of 101 participants took part in this year’s edition.
Some of the events were held at the Silesian University of Technology Library, while the main programme took place at the Educational and Conference Centre.
Prof. Olga Macedońska-Nosalska, has passed away
We regret to announce that Prof. Olga Macedońska-Nosalska, Honorary Professor at the Silesian University of Technology, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026. The funeral will take place on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at the cemetery on Francuska Street in Katowice.
