Jan-Willem Scheijgrond

Mr. Scheijgrond currently serves asVice President Government and Public AffairsatRoyal Philips, where he heads up the global network within Philips that is responsible for the relations with governments and related stakeholders to address societal challenges in particular the impact of increasing geopolitical tensionsand their impact on future supply chains, digital transformationof healthcare, and the impact of COVID-19on healthcare transformation. He is also responsible for partnerships with international partners such as the United Nations and international development partners. In that role Mr. Scheijgrondis focusing on partnerships that strengthen health systems in support of achieving Universal Health Coverage, the response to the COVID-19 crisis,and the creationof blended finance instruments that invest in Access to Care in emerging markets. Mr Scheijgrond serves asSteering Committee member of the WEF Program for Health System Sustainabilityand Resilience (PHSSR), Member of the High-Level Commission on Nairobi Summit on ICPD25 Follow-up,Steering Committee Partner at the Health Finance Coalition, and Chairmanof the UN Global Compact Netherlands. Mr. Scheijgrondjoined Philips in 2009as Senior Director as part of the Corporate Sustainability Office with responsibility for risk and reputation management. Hestarted his career at the United Nations Environment Program(F), where he developed best practices guides related to cleaner production for emerging markets. Subsequently, he held a number of sustainability and government affairs related functions at the BLC Leather Confederation(UK), Epson(NL), and Hewlett-Packard(B).Mr. Scheijgrond holds a Mastersdegree in Environmental Technology from Wageningen University, the Netherlands, he is married and has two children.

Michael Skipper Andersen

Aalborg University

Dr. Michael Skipper Andersen received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with specialisation in Intelligent Autonomous Systems from the Aalborg University in 2004. In 2009, he obtained his PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Aalborg University, Denmark. Following a short period as Software Engineer in the AnyBody Technology, Aalborg, Denmark, he was employed as first as Assistant Professor from 2009–2012, then as Associate Professor (2012 – 2022) and now as Full Professor of Orthopedic Engineering (2022 – ) at the Department of Materials and Production, Aalborg University, Denmark, with all positions being associated with the Biomechanical Research Group. His research is in the multidisciplinary area between engineering and health science, where he develops and apply engineering principles to study health-related issues, primarily in orthopaedics with the ultimate goal to improve patient treatment. He has received several awards for his research and has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and 130 conference abstracts and proceedings.

Jacek Jurkojć

Silesian University of Technology

Jacek Jurkojć, BEng, PhD, DSc, scientist, lecturer, professor at the Silesian University of Technology, specialist in the field of biomechanics with over 20 years of experience in research related to the analysis of human movement, stabilographic research, and design of rehabilitation equipment. He has realized over 15 national and international research projects, both as a contractor and manager, related to the use of biomechanical measurements in sport, rehabilitation as well as in the design of medical devices. Co-author of over 250 scientific publications, monographs, chapters of monographs and conference materials, as well as 5 patents and trade dresses. Currently involved in research on the integration of biomechanical measurements with virtual reality and neuroimaging technology as well as the use of frequency domain analyzes to assess the kinematics and dynamics of human movement both in sport and medical treatment.

Olga Rudneva, CEO for Superhumans Center

For 18 years Olga worked as head of Olena Pinchuk foundation, the first and one of the largest private foundations in Ukraine. Foundation work was focused on fighting against HIV/AIDS and attracting best international experience in Ukraine. 

Amongst the key projects: charitable project of Sir Elton John devoted to the fight against HIV/AIDS in Ukraine and Sir Paul McCartney Independence concert in Kyiv; Medsanbat, the training course of the first aid for frontline paramedics; the biggest campaign in media to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in Ukraine and gender equality initiatives to increase role of women.

Olga considered to be one of the key personalities in Ukrainian philanthropy, having launched numerous social, educational, and fundraising campaigns. 

Since the war broke up, Olga has become a Chief Coordinator for Help Ukraine Center, the largest hub in Europe for delivering humanitarian aid in Ukraine and starting in August 2022 became the CEO for Superhumans Center, hospital for prosthetics, face reconstruction and psychological support for people, injured during the war in Ukraine.

Olga is also a well-recognized public speaker for gender equality and advocate for female rights, for 4 years in a row she listed in top 100 most successful women in Ukraine 

Philippe Lambin

Prof Dr P. Lambin

Philippe Lambin is a Clinician scientist, Radiation Oncologist, “ERC advanced & twice ERC PoC grant laureate” respectively from 2016, 2017 & 2020 and pioneer in translational research with a focus on tumour hypoxia; genetically modified bacteria for cancer treatment and Decision Support Systems. He has a PhD in Molecular Radiation Biology and is Professor at the University of Maastricht (Precision Medicine) and at the University of Eindhoven (“Functional Imaging”, until 2011). He is co-author of more than 579 peer reviewed scientific papers (https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7961-0191, more than 43K citations, Hirsch Index: 110 Google scholar; i-10 index: 482, co-inventor of more than 22 patent families (filed or submitted) of which 10 are in the (pre)commercialization phase and (co) promoter of more than 66 completed PhD’s (2 with cum laude).

Michał Marczyk

Silesian University of Technology

Dr. Michal Marczyk is an assistant professor at the Department of Data Science and Engineering, Silesian University of Technology, and an adjunct assistant professor at Yale School of Medicine.

He is a co-author of 38 impact factor journal papers and 24 book chapters or other journal papers. His research interests include algorithms for pre-processing of high throughput biological data and bioimages, bioinformatics and biostatistics in cancer research, and the development of cancer prediction or prognosis models.

Krzysztof Milewski

Krzysztof Milewski, MD PhD, Prof

General Director of the Research and Development Centre of American Heart of Poland

Cardiologist and scientist at American Heart of Poland since 2004. Currently works there as a General Director of the Research and Development Centre American Heart of Poland as well as an invasive cardiologist, leading the 2nd Department of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Polish-American Heart Clinic in Bielsko-Biała. He is also a researcher at the Department of Physiotherapy in Diseases of Internal Organs, Academy of Physical Education in Katowice and a member of the management board of Med4fit – a multi-specialist clinic. So far, he has participated in over 20 clinical trials, including those related to the efficacy and safety of renal artery angioplasty combined with stent implantation, as well as evaluating self-expanding coronary stents made of nitinol. Member of the Polish Cardiac Society, the European Society of Cardiology, the Society of Cardiovascular Interventions of the Polish Cardiac Society, the Board of the Professional Association of Interventional Cardiologists, and the Committee on Grants and Scientific Research of the Polish Cardiac Society. A graduate of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice.

Piotr Buszman

Head of the Department of Cardiology at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. Head of preclinical research at the Research and Development Centre of American Heart of Poland

Invasive cardiologist. A graduate of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. He completed internships in the field of internal medicine and cardiology in the USA and Europe, including an internship in the field of interventional cardiology and R&D at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, New York, USA. Graduate of the specialist training in cardiology at the Silesian Centre for Heart Diseases in Zabrze and the NextGen Ernst & Young and Columbia University program, New York. Author and co-author of internationally renowned technologies in the field of transcatheter endovascular therapies and local drug delivery in cardiovascular diseases (including DES stents, bioresorbable stents, balloons coated with a new generation drug). Author and co-author of several works on the selection of the optimal method of revascularization in patients with advanced coronary artery disease. Head of research on the first Polish drug-coated balloon and a bioresorbable stent. Co-author of the Program for the Comprehensive Coordinated Care After Myocardial Infarction (for the Polish Ministry of Health and the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System). Author of over 70 full-text publications, reaching over 200 IF. Author and owner of several patents.

Head of the Department of Cardiology, Center Hospitalier Jolimont, Mons, Belgium

A graduate of the Medical University of Gdańsk. Interventional cardiologist, developer, creator and promoter of IT solutions in medicine. Lecturer at the Department of Biostatistics of the Medical University of Gdańsk (Telemedicine and IT in healthcare). Participated in numerous R&D projects, and is currently developing a solution based on neural networks for the detection of changes in the coronary vessels on the basis of visual angiography analysis. Professionally based in Belgium, where he holds a position of the head of the cardiology department at Saint Joseph Hospital, Mons. Alumni of Solvay Brussels School of Economics (Master in Medical Management).

Cardiologist and scientist at American Heart of Poland since 2009. Currently mainly involved at the 10th Department of Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Electrostimulation of the Polish-American Heart Clinic in Tychy. Researcher and lecturer at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University and the University of Technology in Katowice. Participated in numerous clinical trials. Member of the Polish Cardiac Society. A graduate of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice.
