Debate with a Member of the European Parliament
At the invitation of Professor Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology, MEP Dr. Borys Budka visited Zabrze. On Monday, April 7, he delivered a public lecture as part of the series "Faces of Business, Science and Politics. Management in Theory and Practice." The event was attended by a large audience, including students, academic staff, and guests of the Faculty, among them members of the Social Council.
The discussion covered topics such as security and the implementation of the "Eastern Shield" program, as well as the practical framework of the "Pact on Migration and Asylum." Participants also addressed U.S. customs policy and its implications for European markets. Additional subjects included rising prices, economic competitiveness, sustainable development, and the European Green Deal.
Dr. Borys Budka has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament in its 10th term since last year and is the Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. His previous roles include Minister of State Assets, Chairman of the Civic Platform, and Chair of the Parliamentary Club of the Civic Coalition. He has also served as Minister of Justice and was a member of the Polish Parliament for four terms.
