At the TVS television studio in Katowice, located at 12 Grunwaldzki Square, first-year students of the “Cognitive Technologies and Social Media” programme had the opportunity to learn about the behind-the-scenes use of a virtual studio in creating programmes that closely resemble real film sets.
The aim of the study visit was to present modern technological, organisational and logistical solutions used in journalism, show business and broadly understood social communication.
The classes, initiated by Professor Aleksandra Kuzior, provided an excellent opportunity for direct conversations with experts who professionally produce this type of content on a daily basis. Students were able to personally take part in scenes resembling those from computer games, documentaries and game shows. In this way, they tested the so-called green box, a technique of recording against a green background, which is later replaced in post-production with any image, such as weather maps.
The students also met Jacek Swoboda, Director of TVS.
