8th Edition of the Marian Rejewski Award Competition

The Cybersecurity Department of the Ministry of National Defence is organizing the 8th edition of the Marian Rejewski Award competition for the best engineering, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral thesis in the fields of cybersecurity and cryptology. Since its first edition, nearly 300 diploma and scientific works have been submitted.

The competition is addressed to students of technical, social, and humanities disciplines whose diploma theses and academic dissertations relate to broadly understood cybersecurity and cryptology.

The competition is held in two categories:
I. Best engineering, bachelor’s, and master’s thesis,
II. Best doctoral dissertation.

Entries must meet all of the following criteria:

Topic: broadly defined cryptology or cybersecurity,
Language: Polish or English,
Place of defense: a Polish higher education institution.

Submissions can only be made by the author, by sending their work to: konkurs.cyber@mon.gov.pl by November 30, 2026, in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Regulations.
