Faculty of Organization and Management

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Polish Public Management Society, which aims to enhance the development of public management in Poland and integrate the research community in this field.

The Polish Public Management Society was established at the initiative of recognised representatives of the academic community from various universities. An entry in the register of associations in November 2024 formally approved it. The founding group consists of Prof. Marek Ćwiklicki (University of Economics in Krakow), Prof. Aldona Frączkiewicz-Wronka (University of Economics in Katowice), Prof. Barbara Kożuch (Social Academy of Sciences), Prof. Katarzyna Sienkiewicz-Małyjurek (Silesian University of Technology), Prof. Wawrzyniec Rudolf (University of Lodz), Prof. Jarosław Waśniewski (University of Gdańsk) and Prof. Maria Węgrzyn (Wrocław University of Economics).

The Board of the Society is composed of the following members: Prof. Marek Ćwiklicki (President), Prof. Barbara Kożuch (Vice-President), and Prof. Katarzyna Sienkiewicz-Małyjurek (Vice-President). The chair of the Audit Committee is Prof. Aldona Frączkiewicz-Wronka.

The Society has set ambitious goals, including advancing public management science, integrating the research community, and popularising knowledge and education in this field. A key focus of the Society's activities will be identifying new research areas, monitoring ongoing research, and promoting scientific achievements both in Poland and internationally. The Society is a response to the need for interdisciplinary integration of scientists who deal with public management issues in various research traditions. Establishing a common platform for sharing experiences and research is essential for effectively analyzing and supporting the operations of public organizations and implementing public policies in Poland.
