Collaboration with the University of British Columbia
We are pleased to announce that we are strengthening the collaboration between the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the University of British Columbia.
Already four members of our academic community will be involved in establishing new relationships and undertaking joint initiatives. In February 2025, Prof. Marek Salamak was awarded the position of Affiliate Professor, while Dr.-Ing. Muhammad Fawad has been in Canada for a one-year internship since November 2024. Marcin Jasiński and M.Sc. Dawid Piotrowski will go to Canada in March for internship. All our staff are affiliated with the School of Engineering at the UBC Okanagan campus.
Areas of common interest are broadly defined as automation, robotics and digitisation in civil engineering, including but not limited to BIM methodology, digital twins, SHM monitoring and the use of artificial intelligence in this field.
