ACEE-journal
The journal Architecture Civil Engineering Environment (ACEE) is an English-language, open-access scientific journal published quarterly by the Silesian University of Technology in collaboration with De Gruyter.
ACEE was founded in 2008 on the initiative of three faculties of the Silesian University of Technology: Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Environmental and Energy Engineering.
The aim of the journal is to bridge the gap between these three fields of knowledge and to provide a common opportunity to publish current research and scientific results.
The thematic scope of the journal includes such fields as architectural design, urban planning, architectural theory and history, structural engineering, building mechanics, building materials, building physics, roads and bridges, geotechnics, construction processes and economics, construction management, air protection, waste management, water engineering, environmental biotechnology. Interdisciplinary papers combining multidisciplinary topics in their content are particularly encouraged.
The ACEE journal publishes original research papers. Submitted articles should represent significant advances compared to the current state of research. The journal does not publish review articles, reports, short communications, discussions or reprint conference papers previously published in conference proceedings. In the latter case, with the agreement of the Editor-in-Chief, extended versions of papers may be published if an adequate level of originality is ensured. The journal does not publish special issues.
