POB6. A series of events related to POB6 activities at the International EuroScience Open Forum 2024.

At the International EuroScience Open Forum 2024 ESOF, a number of meetings related to POB6 activities were held. These included, among others:

- 12.06. (Wednesday), 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. as part of the university-wide promotion of POBs - promotion of POB6 at the Promotional Stand of the Silesian University of Technology,

- 12.06. (Wednesday), at 14:45 in Conference Room 21+22+23,

- 12.06. (Wednesday), 14:45-17:30, poster by Prof. Anna Mainka, Prof. Ewa Brągoszewska, title: "Interactions between particulate matter (PM) and bacterial communities in a polluted ambient air".

- TED talk entitled. "Reusing of post-mine infrastructure as a solution for mine regions just transition" by Prof. Marcin Lutyński and Konrad Kolodziej, PhD Stud. (under POB6.9).

- 13.06. (Thursday) - poster session number 3 (9:30 - 12:30); Bradecki Tomasz: "Virtual models, card games as a tool in urban design and planning research and education".

- 13.06. (Thursday), at 17:00 on the square between the library of the University of Silesia, i.e. CINIBA, and Rawa River in Katowice Seminar organized by Prof. Krzysztof Rostański entitled: "Green Zone of Science - conditions and opportunities" (under POB6.7).

- 14.06. (Friday), 13:00 - 14:15 - "Air quality - current challenges", BallRoom B, Healthy Society thematic session; short presentations of 6 speakers were given: Marcin Sajdak, Prof. at SUT, Wioletta Przystaś, Prof. at SUT, Barbara Kozielska, Prof. at SUT, Anna Mainka, Prof. at SUT, Kamila Widziewicz-Rzońca, Prof. at SUT, Ewa Zabłocka-Godlewska, Prof. at SUT.

- 14.06. (Friday), 15.15-15.30 - "The aesthetics of thrift - the most sustainable way of landscape design" (Conference Room 19+25+26), Krzysztof Rostański, Prof. at SUT.

- 14.06. (Friday), 14:45-17:30 poster zone "White-rot fungi-mediated cytostatic drug detoxification" Marcelina Jureczko, Dr., Wioletta Przystaś, Prof. at SUT.

- on 15.06., in the plenary session of the EFOS 2024 conference at 11:15 a.m. in the ICC Auditorium, a panel debate entitled "Is the post-mining infrastructure a viable option for energy storage?" was held. The debate was attended by Adam Smolinski, Prof. at GIG, Mr. Lukas Adamek of (Gravitricity) and Dr. Sebastian Waniczek (Energoprojekt-Katowice S.A.). The moderators were Prof. Marcin Lutyński, at SUT Lukasz Bartela, Prof. at SUT,.

These and other events were accompanied by interesting discussions, exchange of experiences and panel discussions.
