Representative of our Faculty at the European Congress of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises

The 15th edition of the European Congress of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, the largest event dedicated to the SME sector in Europe, has come to an end at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. As every year, scientists from the Silesian University of Technology took part in the panels and discussions. Adrian Kapczyński, EngD., an employee of the Department of Applied Mathematics, also took part in the event, leading a discussion on cybersecurity.

Dr. hab. nauk matematycznych Stefan Czerwik, prof. PŚ has passed away

It is with deep regret that we announce that on 27 October 2025, at the age of 85, dr hab. nauk matematycznych Stefan Czerwik, prof. PŚ, (Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, Professor SUT) retired employee of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, passed away.

Knowledge tastes best in practice – this was confirmed by students of School Complex No. 9 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój during a guest lecture by Mirosław Witkowski, MSc Eng., from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at the Silesian University of Technology.
