Full-time studies program, provided in English

Addressed to graduates of secondary schools: high schools and profiled high schools and technical schools

BSc diploma in cooperation with industry partners

WHY IT'S WORTH?
- You will become a professional focused on technical aspects of chemical engineering, oriented on international success in the chemical and processing industries. Lectures, exercises, laboratories, projects, and seminars conducted in English by professionals with extensive scientific achievements and industry experience.
- We teach solution- and innovation-oriented thinking useful for everyday problems solving in the chemical and processing industries, also with the use of modern tools and software.
- You will gain engineering skills in the field of chemistry and chemical engineering. Such interdisciplinarity along with the form of conducting studies, provided solely in English (including the BSc thesis and diploma), will increase your competencies sought by the labour market, both domestic and international.

WHAT DO WE TEACH?
- We teach engineering and comprehensive approach to solving contemporary problems in chemistry and chemical engineering.
- We provide a straightforward discussion of either classic or innovative technological solutions used worldwide in chemical synthesis, processing, and separation.
- We share our experience also by drawing your attention to common problems of traditional chemical technologies, while showing the possibilities of improvement by using innovative technological solutions (Lean Manufacturing).
- We focus on verified technological solutions driven by the principles of sustainable production, i.e. cost efficient with minimum environmental impacts, minimum energy and material consumption.

HOW DO WE TEACH?
- First of all, we focus on the practical aspect - this approach will allow you to acquire key skills and technical competencies in the field of:
- Process modelling and equipment design using modern engineering software (such as CAD - Computer Aided Design, e.g. Autocad, CAE - Computer Aided Engineering, e.g. Chemcad, CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics, e.g. ANSYS Fluent),
- typical tasks in continuous improvement of production processes (Lean Manufacturing)
- implementation of the "fourth industrial revolution" i.e. digitization of industry (Industry 4.0),
- regulatory and legal requirements relevant to chemical and derived industries including intellectual property law,
- problem-based learning and project-based learning applied for tackling contemporary and future topics by chemical and processing industries.
- By studying with us, you will learn how to design chemical processes (e.g. mixing, heating, complex chemical reactions) and select appropriate measurement tools (e.g. temperature and pressure sensors or analytical methods to determine the composition of the post-reaction mixture), how to conduct tests on a laboratory scale and later how to use the results by industrial scale applications.
- We offer you individualized professional development through a variety of optional courses and project-based learning.
- Internships and practices. As a compulsory part of the course, a four-week internship by a selected enterprise or R&D unit is scheduled. We provide full assistance in organizing an internship in cooperation with our Business Partners, either domestic or international (Fluor, Henkel, Huntsman, Unilever, Isover, BASF, LOSENTECH).

WHAT MAKES US STAND OUT?
- We find our Graduate of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry an engineer, professional with knowledge of:
- the contemporary tools and means useful for the enterprise startup and development including:
- practical aspects of the feasibility study, a step in decision-making process by investment decisions along with risk analysis,
- technology transfer opportunities, legal aspects of technology licensing and purchase, intellectual property protection, product, testing, and design standards,
- planning and conducting research used effectively by technology development.

DO YOU KNOW THAT...?
- You don't need to be proficient in English at an expert level to study Industrial and Engineering Chemistry. It is enough if your English is on a communicative level - we will assess your engineering knowledge, not the way you speak!
- By graduating from Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, you make it easier for yourself to start your career by numerous industry branches, including:
- chemical
- petrochemical
- glass and construction materials
- food
- pharmaceutical
- You can also continue the studies on the level degrees, second (MSc) and third (PhD), to become an:
- employee in research and development departments of enterprises (so-called R&D departments)
- a researcher in research institutes, universities in Poland and abroad
- To provide you with all the necessary knowledge and competencies we closely cooperate with our Industrial Partners, taking care of existing business relations and developing new ones, by this we built our own resources offered later to you.
- We follow up the careers of your older colleagues, our respectful Graduates being successful professionals in numerous international companies, R&D institutions, and enterprises, including:
- FLUOR
- PKN ORLEN
- PAROC Polska
- SYNTHOS S.A.
- PCC Rokita SA
- HENKEL
- You can also become a successful entrepreneur – startup and run your own, independent business in the field of production of chemicals, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and special substances, or offering services of process design and technology development.
