“From Students for Students” Seminar Dedicated to PEO Technology

On April 20, 2026, a scientific seminar organised as part of the “From Students for Students” initiative will take place at the Student Creativity Centre in Gliwice, co‑organised by the Centre for Student Activity
(https://www.polsl.pl/cas/ps_aktualnosci/seminarium/).

The event will focus on issues related to plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) and its applications in materials engineering and environmental protection. During the seminar, doctoral candidates and students involved in electrochemistry and metal surface modification will present their current research results.

The following presentations have been announced:

  • mgr inż. Magdalena Marny“When titanium meets PEO: solar‑assisted degradation of pollutants in wastewater”
  • mgr inż. Aleksander Olesiński“From suspension to coating: composite PEO layers on aluminium surfaces reinforced with selected oxides”
  • inż. Maciej Gdala (student)“Sparks that build: what is plasma electrolytic oxidation of copper?”
  • inż. Łukasz Gardas (student)“A new life for copper: what does plasma electrolytic oxidation offer?”

The seminar will provide an opportunity to learn about current research directions pursued by young scientists and to discuss the development potential of PEO technology.

All interested participants are warmly invited!
