Three Minute Thesis® - tell about your passion for science in three minutes!

Scientific issues, great stories and... only three minutes to present them. These are the assumptions of the Three Minute Thesis® competition. The next Silesian edition of the event will take place in November 2021. Applications should be sent by 27 October 2021.

Three Minute Thesis® (3MT®) is an international science communication competition. During the competition, participants-doctoral students present issues related to their doctoral thesis to the audience and jury. They have only three minutes to present their theses. During their presentation, they need to talk about their activities and grasp the interest of the audience.

This challenging task is very beneficial for young scientists - it gives them a chance to popularise science, present their ideas, as well as develop communication and media skills. Each outstanding performance is also associated with winning attractive prizes.

Applications for the competition should be sent by 27 October 2021 via the registration form. The preliminaries will take place on 6 November 2021 at 10 a.m. The final is scheduled for 19 November 2021 at 6 p.m.

The Silesian edition of the competition is open to doctoral students of universities from the Silesian Voivodeship or branches of the Polish Academy of Sciences located in Silesia. The event is addressed to doctoral students of all disciplines.
