IV Turniej szachowy
26.04.2019 r. odbył się IV Turniej Szachowy o Mistrzostwo Wydziału Matematyki Stosowanej.
Dziesięciu uczestników grało systemem każdy z każdym. Okazało się, że dwóch uczestników, dr inż. Jan Pochciał oraz dr inż. Marcin Adam zremisowali ze sobą i wygrali ze wszystkimi pozostałymi szachistami. Po raz pierwszy o Mistrzostwie Wydziału musiała zdecydować dogrywka w której górą był Marcin Adam i to on został Mistrzem Wydziału w 2019 roku. Trzecie miejsce zdobył dr inż. Piotr Słanina.
W klasyfikacji studentów najlepszy był Rafał Ziomek przed Ireneuszem Sobstyl i Pawłem Pietrasz. Cała trójka zdobyła pamiątkowe puchary.

Gold Medal for Long-term Service for our Employee

Language success of students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics
Two students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics qualified for the second stage of the XXVI National Higher Technical Education English Language Olympiad!
Nearly 600 students from 15 technical universities from all over Poland took part in the competition. Congratulations and we keep our fingers crossed for further success!
Success of our Student in the competition "My Idea for Business"
A student of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Adrianna Maszniew, has won 3rd place in the 21st edition of the “My Idea for Business” competition!
The competition promotes entrepreneurship among students of the Silesian University of Technology, and her project was recognized for its innovation and market potential. Congratulations!
