Faculty of Civil Engineering

On March 8 and 9, 2025, the team of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology, consisting of the students of the Student Research Group "Extraterrestrial Civil Engineering" - Anna Gałka, Sylwia Janota, Marceli Matłosz and our construction experts - Janusz Belok, PhD Eng, Bernard Kowolik, PhD Eng, Wojciech Sorociak, PhD Eng. Wojciech Sorociak, Monika Sroka-Bizoń and Beata Wilk-Słomka, chaired by Marian Łupieżowiec, PhD, Eng. professor at the Silesian University of Technology, took part in the Silesian Real Estate and Housing Fair 2025 in Katowice.

This event is more than just bricks, concrete and tiles - it is a place where the future of construction meets modernity! Every year, more than 6,000 visitors learn about innovations in construction and energy conversion.

Our department had the opportunity to present its research and teaching programs at the booth and during workshops. Visitors could listen to Prof. Marian Łupieżowiec, PhD, Eng, who presented his vision of modern education in construction, and Dr. Janusz Belok and Dr. Beata Wilk-Słomka, Eng, who discussed the challenges for the construction industry in the face of climate change.

Knowledge, passion and inspiration for construction - this is what we brought to the fair!

After all, a well-designed future starts with a solid foundation - and the Faculty of Civil Engineering has plenty of that!
