Faculty of Civil Engineering

On March 31, 2023, the first edition of the Technical Knowledge and Manual Aptitude Olympiad was held at the General Stanisław Maczek Building Schools Complex in Bielsko-Biała. The Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology, working closely with the Bielsko-Biała Building Schools Complex, supported the organisation of the Olympiad, whose participants were pupils of classes VII and VIII of primary schools from Bielsko-Biała and the surrounding area. The competition was divided into three stages. The first concerned theory, the second practice, and the third fitness and manual issues. The participants demonstrated their skills and knowledge, while not forgetting to have fun. Mr. Piotr Dudzik, Ph.D., representing the Faculty of Civil Engineering, cheered on all the participants of the Olympiad. We hope that the promotional university gifts will be a nice souvenir for the young construction enthusiasts.
