Task 5: Significant bonus for publishing in TOP1 and TOP10 journals, most prominent books, in Nature and Science magazines and achieving a status of a Highly Cited Researcher

• TOP10 publications in the amount of PLN 1,500 for 12 months,
• TOP1 publications in the amount of PLN 3,500 for 12 months,
• publications in the main editions of Nature and Science PLN 10,000 for 12 months,
• obtaining the HiCi status - a permanent increase in remuneration by PLN 5,000 and additionally PLN 10,000 for 12 months

Expected financing: PLN 30,500,000 (IDUB) + 8,000,000

Task 6: A package of a pro-quality programme which will increase the ability to obtain Horizon 2020 and following programme projects, in particular, the ERC projects

• selecting scientific leaders able to obtain ERC grants and other grants under the Horizon programME,
• awarding grants for the preparation of project applications,
• increasing the remuneration by a total of PLN 10,000 per month during the project implementation period for the project team that submits an application and receives the Horizon project as a leader in the consortium and by PLN 4,000 per month,
• increasing the remuneration by a total amount of PLN 4,000 per month during the project implementation period for the project team that submits an application and receives the Horizon project as a partner in the project.

Expected financing: PLN 15,200,00 (IDUB) + PLN 2,200,000

Task 16: Employment of prominent professors

• annual average employment of at least 6 outstanding scientists who meet the demanding criteria defined in the application

Expected financing: PLN 14,000,000 (IDUB) + PLN 2,600,000

Task 17: Employment of outstanding young employees

• annual average employment of at least 6 outstanding young scientists who meet the demanding criteria defined in the application

Expected financing: PLN 8,000,000 (IDUB) + PLN 1,500,000

Task 20: Establishment of research institutes

• offering the possibility of establishing research institutes to people from among the University's employees and from outside who would like to implement an ERC grant at the Silesian University of Technology or have an impressive track record of TOP1 publications and implementation of European projects

Expected financing: PLN 1,100,000 (IDUB)

Task 21: Support for conducting research breakthroughs

• funding of at least 6 breakthrough research projects per year

Expected financing: PLN 4,200,000 (IDUB) + PLN 800,000

Task 22: Support for starting a research activity in subject compliant with POB

• financing of at least 20 projects for young employees to start a research activities within the POB

Expected financing: PLN 4,200,000 (IDUB)

Task 23: Support for publishing with leading foreign centres and industrial partners

• rewarding each highly scored publication published in international cooperation or with an industrial partner

Expected financing: PLN 6,900,000 (IDUB) + PLN 1,800,000

Total funding of research excellence: PLN 101,000,000
