Language success of students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics

Two students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics qualified for the second stage of the XXVI National Higher Technical Education English Language Olympiad!
Nearly 600 students from 15 technical universities from all over Poland took part in the competition. Congratulations and we keep our fingers crossed for further success!

🎉 Success for the students of the Applied Mathematics Department! 🎉

We are happy to announce that Mateusz Ślązak and Wiktor Jarosz, students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, qualified for the second stage of the XXVI National Higher Technical Education English Language Olympiad, organised by the Centre for Languages and Communication of the Poznań University of Technology.

This year's edition of the Olympiad was attended by nearly 600 students from 15 universities from all over Poland. The aim of the event is to promote the knowledge of English in the academic environment and to develop the linguistic competence of future engineers. Participants compete in English language skills at the C1/C2 level.

The university stage took place on 24 January 2025 and consisted of a lexical and grammatical test and a reading comprehension task. The best participants were qualified for the second stage, which took place on 16 May 2025 at Poznan University of Technology. There, students faced a written test and a multimedia presentation in English.

We would like to congratulate our students on their participation in stage II and wish them further language success!
