Studencki Nobel 2019
Ośmioro wybitnych studentów, reprezentujących różne obszary nauki oraz sztuki, nagrodzonych zostało Studenckim Noblem. Konkurs Studencki Nobel organizowany jest od 2009 roku przez Niezależne Zrzeszenie Studentów pod honorowym patronatem Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego.
W kategorii Technologia Informacyjna laureatem konkursu został Kamil Książek, student naszego Wydziału Matematyki Stosowanej Politechniki Śląskiej. Pan Kamil Książek zajmuje się zagadnieniami z dziedziny optymalizacji, w szczególności algorytmami heurystycznymi, interesuje się również uczeniem maszynowym, a ostatnio - Internetem Rzeczy. Ponadto należy wspomnieć, że do finału konkursu w kategorii Technologia Informacyjna zakwalifikowali się również studenci z naszego Wydziału: Aleksandra Krawiec, Anna Strzoda i Bartosz Grabowski.
