Ph.D. Krzysztof Musioł, head of the research project in the "Polish Metrology" programme
The Ministry of Education and Science announced the results of the first competition under the "Polish Metrology" programme. 26 projects worth more than PLN 21 million were submitted for financing. The financed projects included a project submitted by an employee of the Department of Metrology, Electronics and Automatics, Ph.D. Krzysztof Musioł "Research and development of digital four-port impedance comparison methods". The programme provides support for the implementation of projects aimed at increasing the level of research capabilities of metrological institutions, strengthening intellectual capital, increasing the competitiveness of the Polish economy in strategic areas for the country, developing modern technologies, stimulating the development of metrology, in particular in the areas of health, environment, energy, and advanced technologies measurement, as well as the development of digital technologies.

Two distinctions and the IEEE Gold Medal for Professor Marian Kampik
We are proud to announce that the Head of our Department, Prof. Marian Kampik, received two distinctions and the Gold Medal of the prestigious Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for publishing activity in the journal "Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement" over the last seven years.
Study visit to the FCA Poland plant
On 10 May 2018, a group of students from Power Engineering, Semester IV, participated in a study visit to the FCA Poland plant in Tychy. The students were supervised by employees of the Department of Metrology, Electronics and Automatics: Ph.D. Janusz Tokarski, Ph.D. Ryszard Bogacz, and Ph.D. Beata Krupanek. During the visit, under the supervision of professional guides, students had the opportunity to visit the Fiat 500 and Lancia car factory.
