Biographical Note:
Graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, specialising in structures and bridges (1990). He obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Transport at the Silesian University of Technology in 2004. He currently works as an assistant professor at the Department of Mechanics and Bridges.
He specialises in bridge structures, especially numerical analyses of bridges over high-speed railway lines. He also works on issues related to timber functionalisation. He is author or co-author of 74 publications. Hirsch index according to Scopus database 6 and WoS database - 7. He was the co-supervisor of one completed doctoral thesis. He is the author of one patent and one ZDI (Registered Intellectual Property) He is a member of the laboratory accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation called "Field Testing Team" at the Silesian University of Technology. He is also a member of the Polish Association of Bridge Builders and the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers. He was the manager of a project financed by the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship. He is the author or co-author of several hundred reports, expert opinions and designs of structures. He has taught at the Silesian University of Technology within the framework of 10 PBL (Project Based Learning) projects. Currently, he teaches "Designing with Bridges" and "Steel Bridges with BIM Technology".

- Member of the Senate of the University of Technology (2020-2024).
- Member of the Council of the Faculty of Construction (2012-2018).
- Silver medal of the President of the Republic of Poland for long service (2011).
- Winner of two awards from the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology for organizational activities.
