Graduates of this specialty receive education in designing building structures, in particular they are prepared for works related to:

  • construction, maintenance and modernization of buildings
  • production of building materials and elements.

The educational effect is the preparation to perform independent functions coordinating all phases of construction investment projects: design, planning and execution of construction works and independent management of design and executive construction units, as well as development and business activities.
As part of the subjects taught in this specialization, students learn the essence of designing technological processes along with mathematical modeling of these processes and the essence of physical processes related to the operation of construction facilities.

Students learn about:

  • issues of construction company management, including modern forms of management, marketing in a company and cost accounting
  • principles of sustainable development in construction.

The course also presents issues concerning:

  • personnel policy, managing people, recruitment process and motivation
  • durability and maintenance of construction facilities.

Students become familiar with fire protection issues at all stages of the construction process.

Depending on the field of study, they improve their skills in:

  • design and implementation of construction processes and technological systems, management in construction and pro-ecological solution of construction issues.
  • designing, implementing and planning activities aimed at minimizing energy demand in newly designed and existing buildings.
