Work in the field of bridges, as a special type of linear engineering structures and components of transportation systems, links the acquired knowledge of building structures with knowledge of communications and infrastructure, which predestines graduates to work in the design and construction of the multitude of bridges and viaducts on the numerous transportation routes currently under construction. Employment in administration is possible in both the construction and highway fields. The profile prepares for solving problems in the field of engineering especially those related to mobility and dynamic effects of loads. Local specificity is represented by issues of protection of bridges in areas of mining deformation.
