Breakthrough research in the area of POB1
We are happy to inform about new grants for the breakthrough research under the IDUB programme, which were given to the following researchers representing POB1:
- mgr inż. Mateusz D. Tomczyk (RCH): The use of sulfonylureas as HK2 inhibitors in anti-cancer therapies – 35.000 zł;
- dr hab. inż. Grzegorz Chladek, prof. PŚ (RMT); dr hab. inż. Izabela Barszczewska-Rybarek, prof. PŚ (RCH): Development and studies on antimicrobial hybrid composite nanomaterials enriched with particles of quaternary ammonium derivatives of polyethyleneimine – 34.000 zł;
- dr hab. inż. Katarzyna Krukiewicz, prof. PŚ (RCH): Electrospun medical fabrics and surgical threads with anti-cancer properties – 35.000 zł;
- dr hab. inż. Arkadiusz Gertych, prof. wizytujący PŚ (RIB); dr hab. inż. Karolina Nurzyńska, prof. PŚ (RAU); dr inż. lek. Bartłomiej Pyciński (RIB): Identification of the presence of gene mutations in a non-small cell lung cancer using computational pathology – 35.000 zł;
- dr inż. Agata Blacha-Grzechnik (RCH): Quantum dots in the photogeneration of singlet oxygen – 35.000 zł;
- mgr inż. Maciej Mrówka (Biotechnology Center): Water-soluble derivatives of flavonoids with anti-cancer activity – 35.000 zł.
