POB1 Seminar: dr Karol Karnowski
We would like to invite everyone to the lecture of dr Karol Karnowski from the International Center for Translational Eye Research (ICTER), Warsaw "Hidden contrast-enhancing optical volumetric imaging".
Karol Karnowski received his PhD (Biophysics – 2013) from the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Torun, Poland. Between 2015 and 2018, he was a Research Fellow at Optical + Biomedical Engineering Laboratory, University of Western Australia (UWA). To this day, he has an adjunct Senior Lecturer appointment at UWA. Currently, dr Karnowski moved back to Poland. He is a Project Leader at the Institute of Physical Chemistry PAS and a Senior Researcher at the International Center for Translational Eye Research (ICTER). The scientific interests of Dr Karnowski focus on biomedical imaging techniques, e.g. optical coherence tomography (OCT) methods and their extensions (OCT angiography, polarization-sensitive OCT or OCT angiography) for eye-related diseases, mouse brain imaging, hollow organs imaging with miniature, fibre-based optical systems. Dr Karnowski published 29 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is an author of a book chapter.
