Partners of the International LiterAGE4All Project Meet at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology

On 3 September 2026, an international meeting of the partners involved in the project entitled Fostering e-Inclusion to Improve Digital Health Literacy and Healthy Ageing in Adults 50+ (acronym: LiterAGE4All) was held at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology.
The meeting was organized by the Polish project partner, the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology. The event was hosted by Dr Eng. Katarzyna Mleczko, the project coordinator on behalf of the Silesian University of Technology.
The LiterAGE4All project (No. 2023-1-PT01-KA220-ADU-000165655) is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme and coordinated by the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda (Portugal). The international consortium consists of four partner institutions from across Europe: the Silesian University of Technology (Poland), Fundación Centro de Cirugía de Mínima Invasión Jesús Usón (Spain), Sociedade Portuguesa de Literacia em Saúde (Portugal), and Stiftung Digitale Chancen (Germany).
The project's main objective is to enhance the digital and health literacy skills of adults aged 50 and above, supporting them in leading healthier, more independent, and more active lives.
The meeting at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology provided an opportunity to review the progress achieved so far and discuss the final stage of delivering the project's key outputs. The partners agreed that a high priority should be given to intensifying efforts aimed at refining the educational tools developed within the project, which will soon be made available to the target groups.
The project is developing, among others:
  • a training course designed to improve digital health literacy and digital skills;
  • digital health resource libraries;
  • a television application supporting health education;
  • a collection of educational materials and tools for professionals working with older adults.
The implementation of the LiterAGE4All project represents an important step towards reducing the digital exclusion of older people and strengthening their ability to use modern technologies for health protection and health promotion purposes.
