On 3 October 2026, the “Together We Create the Future” agreement on scientific, educational, and social cooperation was signed at General J. Ziętek Primary School in Wieszowa. The parties to the agreement are the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology, the Wieszowa Student Sports Club (UKS Wieszowa), the Municipality of Zbrosławice, and the Primary School in Wieszowa.
The agreement was signed during a community picnic organized to celebrate the school’s 100th anniversary. The signatories were: Katarzyna Zyga, Mayor of the Municipality of Zbrosławice; Justyna Hewig, Principal of the Primary School in Wieszowa; and Grzegorz Sojczyński, President of the Management Board of UKS Wieszowa. The Faculty of Organization and Management was represented by Professor Izabela Jonek-Kowalska, Vice-Dean for Science and Cooperation.
The partnership aims to support the development of children and young people in the areas of future skills, leadership, modern technologies, and physical education. At the heart of the initiative is the original “V-Leaders Leadership Academy” programme, which combines sports training with leadership development and connects the scientific potential of the university with the school and local government communities.
During the event, the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology was also present in the Education Zone, where students encouraged pupils and members of the local community to engage in joint initiatives and collaborative activities.
