Scientific Gold for Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior
The scientific achievements of Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology in Zabrze, have been recognized with the Gold Medal “Meritorious for Polish Science Sapientia et Veritas”, awarded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. The medal was presented by Prof. Marek Gzik, Deputy Minister and Secretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, on 15 April 2026 during the “Ambassador of the Polish Economy” event held in Warsaw by the Business Centre Club under the honorary patronage of the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.
Since September 2024, the award recipient has served as Dean of the Faculty in Zabrze. Previously, she was Vice-Dean for eight years and the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for the University’s Social Responsibility. Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior is the author of nearly 300 scientific publications, including monographs as well as articles published in prestigious international journals. She has also been awarded the title of doctor honoris causa by foreign universities on three occasions.
In her scientific work, she addresses a wide range of topics related to sustainable development and quality of life, artificial intelligence, and the Smart Sustainable City concept. For many years, she has brought together academic communities, business circles, non-governmental organizations, and public administration to foster better cooperation for regional development. Last year, she received the Gold Honorary Badge “For Merits to the Silesian Voivodeship” and was also recognized in the “Marka-Śląskie” competition in the Science category.
