Invitation to a lecture by Professor Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska as part of the series Faces of Business, Science and Politics. Management in Theory and Practice
Professor Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology, cordially invites you to another open lecture in the series Faces of Business, Science and Politics. Management in Theory and Practice.
The lecture will be delivered by Professor Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska, Director of the Institute of Management and Chair of the Discipline Council for Management and Quality Sciences at the Faculty of Organization and Management of Lodz University of Technology. The title of the lecture is:
“From the laboratory to practice: why good research rarely translates into real change.”
The event will take place on 9 April 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in Lecture Hall C3 of the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology in Zabrze, 26 Roosevelt Street.
Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska is a professor of economic sciences, Director of the Institute of Management, and Chair of the Discipline Council for Management and Quality Sciences at the Faculty of Organization and Management of Lodz University of Technology. She also serves as Chair of the Committee on Organization and Management Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
She specializes in strategic management, organizational ambidexterity, cooperation, and coopetition. In recent years, her research interests have focused on the third mission of universities, with particular emphasis on the processes of knowledge commercialization and knowledge valorization.
She is the author and co-author of more than 180 academic publications in Polish and English, and has led or participated in numerous research projects, including those funded by the National Science Centre, Poland. She is a member of the Strategic Management Society, the Academy of Management, and the Polish Economic Society, Łódź Branch.
