Inclusion and Social Mission in Higher Education
On 15 September 2026, the international online conference “Inclusion and Social Mission in Higher Education” will take place. The event is jointly organized by the SGroup Think Tank for the Social Mission of Universities (TTSMU) and the World Access to Higher Education Network (WAHEN). It will focus on the role of higher education institutions in promoting equal opportunities, inclusiveness, and social responsibility.
The conference will bring together academics, students, experts, and practitioners from different regions of the world. Participants will discuss ways to strengthen the social mission of universities through teaching and research activities, collaboration with stakeholders, support for diversity, and the promotion of student engagement.
The programme will address topics related to equality and inclusion in higher education, cooperation with social partners, the role of students in university development, and international experiences in fostering social inclusion. The event will feature experts representing universities, student organizations, and institutions working to improve access to education and advance social justice.
