Faculty of Organization and Management

Collaboration in the field of science, as well as the implementation of research and development initiatives, is the subject of an agreement signed on April 29 between the Silesian Metropolitan Network and the Faculty of Organization and Management at the Silesian University of Technology. The document was signed by Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management, and Agnieszka Olbrycht-Banach, President of the Management Board of the Silesian Metropolitan Network Ltd., based in Gliwice.

"As scientists, we are interested in creating solutions that contribute to progress both in theoretical and practical areas. I hope that this cooperation will result in articles prepared for publication in journals or monographs, and that the models developed through our research will be implemented in the company's operations," said Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management.

Since 2009, the Silesian Metropolitan Network has been involved in the development of telecommunications infrastructure and expanding access to broadband Internet in the Silesian agglomeration. The company operates broadly in the IT sector. Among other activities, it runs a data center, installs and oversees video surveillance systems, and manages a Security Operations Center (SOC) in Gliwice.
