Faculty of Organization and Management

A new series of open lectures titled "Faces of Business, Science, and Politics. Management in Theory and Practice" is launching at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology.

Initiated by Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty, this project enables regular meetings between the Faculty's staff and students and renowned representatives from the fields of business, science, and politics. At the Dean’s invitation, opinion leaders will visit Zabrze to present the specifics of their professional activities and managerial experiences.

The first guest will be Grzegorz Lot, CEO of Tauron Polska Energia S.A., one of the largest energy companies in Poland. He will discuss the challenges of energy transition and introduce the company’s new management strategy.

"I am convinced that this series of open lectures, providing direct contact between students, lecturers, and invited guests who are respected in their fields, will create a unique forum for exchanging views and engaging in discussions between practitioners, theorists, and young management enthusiasts. It will also allow young people to compare their ideas with the concrete experiences of scientists, managers, businesspeople, politicians, and representatives of public administration," emphasizes Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior.

Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior, cordially invites everyone to the inaugural lecture of the series, which will take place on January 23, 2025, at 9:00 AM in Room C3 at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology in Zabrze, Roosevelta 26.

Grzegorz Lot is a graduate of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. He also completed a Master of Business Administration program at The Brennan School of Business at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, USA. With nearly 30 years of experience in the energy sector, he currently serves as the CEO of Tauron Polska Energia S.A.
