2nd place for the interdepartmental project team from the Innovator Student Scientific Circle

The interdepartmental design team consisting of members of the INNOWATOR Student Scientific Circle, which included: Mateusz Mularczyk, Julia Jurasik, Maciej Radomski, Agnieszka Błachut and Dawid Turek, took second place for the development of the SnowOwl intelligent snowboard. The primary purpose of snowboards is to allow you to move on the snow. This one, however, was created with beginner "riders" in mind. Thanks to specially installed sensors that record the body posture, it is designed to notify the user about mistakes he makes while driving, i.e. above all about excessive body tilts. Posture defects sensors would be 3 sensors (flex sensor) resembling protectors - 2 placed on the elbows, 1 on the user's chest and 4 attached to the board. They would record the position of those parts of the user's body that are responsible for maintaining balance. By inducing stronger pressure on the nose, tail or edges of the board, or by leaning the body/limb excessively in a given direction, the user receives feedback in the form of light signals issued by LEDs connected to the sensors. Together, this creates a system that makes it easier for novice customers to learn to drive.
