Diamentowy grant dla studenta naszego Wydziału
Student ostatniego roku matematyki na Wydziale Matematyki Stosowanej, otrzymał nagrodę za projekt „Analiza błądzenia kwantowego z pamięcią w zastosowaniach algorytmicznych”. Otrzymany grant jest wynikiem rozpoczętej w 2011 roku pracy w Zespole Kwantowych Systemów Informatyki IITiS Polskiej Akademii Nauk. Prowadzenie badań w instytucie PAN było realizowane dzięki umowie o współpracy pomiędzy instytutem a Wydziałem Matematyki Stosowanej Politechniki Śląskiej. – Celem projektu jest zdobycie wiedzy, która przyczyni się do projektowania nowych algorytmów kwantowych – mówi laureat. – Błądzenie kwantowe to bowiem jedna z najbardziej obiecujących metod realizowania algorytmów kwantowych.
Przemysław Sadowski odebrał nagrodę z rąk minister nauki i szkolnictwa wyższego prof. Barbary Kudryckiej. Gratulujemy sukcesu i życzymy kolejnych!

Gold Medal for Long-term Service for our Employee
It is with great honour that we inform you that Roman Wituła, DSc, Eng., Assoc. Prof. at Silesian University of Technology, a long-standing employee of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, has been awarded the Gold Medal for Long-term Service, conferred by the President of the Republic of Poland.
Language success of students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics
Two students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics qualified for the second stage of the XXVI National Higher Technical Education English Language Olympiad!
Nearly 600 students from 15 technical universities from all over Poland took part in the competition. Congratulations and we keep our fingers crossed for further success!
Success of our Student in the competition "My Idea for Business"
A student of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Adrianna Maszniew, has won 3rd place in the 21st edition of the “My Idea for Business” competition!
The competition promotes entrepreneurship among students of the Silesian University of Technology, and her project was recognized for its innovation and market potential. Congratulations!
