Faculty of Biomedical Engineering

We are delighted to announce that mgr inż. Barbara Rynkus, a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Biomaterials and Medical Devices Engineering, has been awarded a scholarship from the Czesław M. Rodkiewicz Scholarship Foundation.

The scholarship is awarded to young researchers and Ph.D. candidates conducting engineering research at the interface of technology and medical sciences. The Foundation recognized the doctoral research topic, its scientific value, and its potential impact on the advancement of science and medical practice.

The distinction was awarded for research conducted as part of a doctoral project focused on developing a hybrid PEO/P(L/G/TMC) coating system on a biodegradable magnesium alloy for orthopedic applications.

The research focuses on surface modification of magnesium alloys to improve their functional properties, control degradation, and enhance the application potential of biodegradable orthopedic implants.
