8th Edition of the Marian Rejewski Award Competition for the Best Engineering, Bachelor's, Master's Thesis and Doctoral Dissertation in Cybersecurity and Cryptology

The Cybersecurity Department of the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Poland invites students and doctoral candidates to participate in the 8th Edition of the Marian Rejewski Award Competition for the best engineering, bachelor's, master's thesis, and doctoral dissertation dedicated to cybersecurity and cryptology.

The competition is addressed to students and doctoral candidates from technical, social sciences, and humanities programmes whose theses and dissertations focus on broadly understood issues related to cybersecurity and cryptology.

We encourage students and doctoral candidates to take part in the competition and present the results of their research to a wider audience.

The competition is conducted in two categories:

  1. Best engineering, bachelor's, or master's thesis
    II. Best doctoral dissertation

Submitted works must meet all of the following requirements:

  1. Topic: broadly understood cryptology or cybersecurity;
  2. Language: Polish or English;
  3. Defence venue: a Polish higher education institution.

Only the author of the thesis or dissertation may submit an entry. Applications should be sent to: konkurs.cyber@mon.gov.pl

The submission deadline is 30 November 2026. Entries must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Competition Regulations (attached).
