Prof. Bożena Gajdzik has been included for the fifth time in the prestigious World’s Top 2% of Scientists list, which recognizes researchers whose scientific work has received outstanding international recognition through citations. She was first included in the list in 2022.

The list is based on bibliometric data compiled by researchers at Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier. It presents researchers in two categories: one based on their scientific impact throughout their careers and the other on citations received in the most recent year analysed.

In the latest edition, Prof. Gajdzik has been recognised in both categories. In the list based on citations received in 2025, she ranked sixth among researchers at Silesian University of Technology. She is also the only representative of the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Industrial Digitalization to be included in both categories.

Her continued presence on the list highlights the international reach and impact of her research and its contribution to the advancement of science.
