Success at the Invent Arena 2026 Innovation Fair in Třinec!
On 17–18 June 2026, the innovation fair Invent Arena 2026 took place in Třinec. More than 50 exhibitors from around the world presented their inventions at WERK ARENA and in the surrounding outdoor areas. The event brought together entrepreneurs, students, professionals, and members of the general public. Companies and institutions, mainly from the Czech Republic, Poland, and other European countries, showcased new technologies and competed in the contest for the best innovations.
Patent No. 221118, entitled “Method for the Recovery of Platinum Group Metals from Spent Automotive Catalytic Converters”, developed by researchers from the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Industrial Digitalization, was also submitted to the competition:
- Agnieszka Fornalczyk – Department of Production Engineering,
- Roman Przyłucki – Department of Industrial Informatics,
- Mariola Saternus – Department of Metallurgy and Recycling,
- Sławomir Golak – Department of Industrial Informatics.
The invention was awarded a Gold Medal and a Special Award in the category “Ecology and Environmental Protection.”
