Scientific and Educational Cooperation with the University of León
From April 7–12, 2026, a delegation from our unit visited the University of León (Spain). The delegation included the Head of the Department of Industrial Informatics, Prof. Albert Smalcerz, his deputy Prof. Marcin Blachnik, and the Head of the Department of Production Engineering, Prof. Agnieszka Fornalczyk.
The purpose of the visit was to establish and develop cooperation between our units and the Spanish Faculty of Mechanical, Computer, and Aeronautical Engineering, with particular emphasis on the robotics working group.
Key areas of cooperation:
Exchange of teaching experience: The meetings provided an opportunity to share best practices in delivering robotics-related courses, which will help further enrich the educational offer for our students.
Academic mobility: A framework for cooperation in the exchange of students and teaching staff was agreed upon.
Scientific research: Representatives of both universities discussed prospects for joint research projects, combining the potential of our departments with the experience of the Spanish team.
This visit represents another step in the internationalization of our units, opening new opportunities for staff and students of the Department of Industrial Informatics and the Department of Production Engineering.
