New Book Co-Authored by Prof. Bożena Gajdzik Released by Routledge
On October 29, 2025, the renowned academic publisher Routledge will release the book “Quality Life Cycle Assessment in Sustainable Product Development”, co-authored by Prof. Bożena Gajdzik from the Department of Industrial Informatics at the Silesian University of Technology.
The publication presents the innovative Quality Life Cycle Assessment (QLCA) model, which combines product quality evaluation with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), supporting design decisions that take into account both customer satisfaction and environmental impact. The authors demonstrate how digital technologies—such as Big Data, data analytics, and Digital Twin—enable the creation of virtual product prototypes that foster sustainable development and innovation in smart factories.
